The 6 pedaled rose

by kayla   Aug 12, 2006

She received a rose no one gave,
And yet its slowly dying.

A pedal falls, and melts away,
To her, her mind is lying.

5 pedals remain, she doesn't care,
Another pedal does fall.

4 are wilting softly now,
But she doesn't care at all.

She goes on, a pedals falls,
3 are now still standing.

Days go by, 2 more fall,
Her mind becomes demanding.

1 remains and wilts so slow,
The deep red colour is fading.

The pedal falls and melts away,
Her mind continues changing.

The stem is all that's left to see,
She looks at it and cries.

She thinks about all the days,
As tear stream from her eyes.

The rose is dead, her mind is too,
She stares at it, it fades,

Her memory of this then disappears,
The one the rose had made.
