Song of Freedom

by yvonne   Aug 13, 2006

This is a song of Freedom I sing
of the wonders it holds, of the joy it can bring

Of the waves of the shore as they dance on the sand
the long-legged deer as they bound across land.
Of the cry of the eagles upon mountains high
the tune of the birds as they sing in the sky.
Of the whimsical twirl of the fish in the seas
the sweet silent whispers from forested trees.
Of the awakening call from the breeze of the morn
the bliss of a mother to whom a child born.
Of a ship on its sails, a thousand and one
the arch of a rainbow lazing under the sun.
Of the howl of a wolf in glistening moonlight
the hum of a nightingale in tranquil of night.

This is my song of Freedom, I pray
that I may too find freedom one day.
