God's Gentle Grace

by Twisted Heart   Aug 13, 2006

She came to this chapel
just to sit for awhile
She needed God's comfort
Wanting his smile
She sat there so patient
In a pew at the back
Willing his presence
To take up the slack.
Her heart was so empty
Her soul lost its shine
She needed his arms
To heal her this time.
No reason had come
To cause her this pain
Just every day life
Was all she could blame.
She lowered her head
and softly, she prayed
That God's gentle hands
Would heal her today.
And suddenly it happened
She felt better inside
No longer feeling
The need to just hide.
She raised up her head
With a smile on her face
And humbly accepted
God's gentle Grace.

I'm loving the inspirational aspects of this. The poem is beautifully penned as well.
However, there are far too many she's and her's in it. Once you establish whom the poem is about it's not necessary to keep referring back to them in pronoun form.
Wow, that sounded kinda smart huh? lol.
    Anyway, just a suggestion....love ya~Holly
