Louisiana's Tears.

by BeautifulxMess   Aug 14, 2006

Tears of eyes from thousands filed
the toxic air. Wind so strong and
destructive, thinking "Why us,
this isn't fair.."

Screaming returning home,
nothing but woods on the
ground. Little kids with
families wondering whats
going on.

She broke their hearts in
half, and made them bleed.
Killed thousands of innocent
people in need.

Put that city under water, drowning
like it's nothing to anyone.
Fired up those buildings, and
pointed her fingers and laughed
on.

She don't know what she done to
us, and how she put an impact.
Shattered hearts down in New
Orleans, and newscasters saying
its no more and thats a fact.

News channel never left our
television, not for moment.
Katrina cause my family's
homes, isn't God watching
us, making us cry every time
here spent.

As soon as we thought things
couldn't get worse, Louisiana
was about to face another major
storm. Nothing but wind and
destructing was formed.

Moving place to place once,
twice, or three. Everything went
so wrong, I can't believe what
my eyes made me see.

Getting back home after this
monster was hard. Tears
filled my eyes, looking at
my home town, and going
down another long yard.

Still fighting what these
storms did, still reminiscing.
Life won't ever be the same
now, cause theres always going
to be a part missing.

Louisiana's working hard to
move on and get back to
normally. But no one won't
ever forget what there eyes
saw.

Friends moving losing their
houses, riped away. Never
been so confused in my life,
it's like we're not welcome anywhere
in place.

Everywhere we go, something
goes wrong. What did we ever
do, to get hell in our state and
depression will go on.

Less food, less money, damage
on our home and hearts. We
pray that we'll have a brand new
start.

Another chance, at surviving
again is all we ask. God please
know that we try hard at life,
but it's like you're giving it away
too fast.

We can't do nothing else, but
watch our lives fall to pieces.
We can't stop this from happening,
it's us. like the world deserves

This country needs to understand
the pain that we live.Scared to watch
the news, and hoping we don’t go
through this again.

This country needs to listen to the
cries, from all of us in need.
We're helpless right now, love
and support is what we long to
receive.

We'll still urn to find why we were
chosen fight for these storms.
We still wonder how long this
will make us mourn.

This will haunt us for a very long
time. Walking the longest yard,
in Louisiana's fight.

"Katrina and Rita, May You
Burn to Ashes, and Fade
Away. Your After mapnd
Damage Will Affect Our Home,
and What You Did That Day."
