Warrior's Life

by Ran   Aug 14, 2006

Glaring eyes behind my back
boring a hole through my soul;
Hidden enemies now attack
their hearts as black as charcoal.

Solemn pledge of loyalty
following the secret code,
I've hidden well and long enough
but all my disguises unfold.

What's left for me in this world?
And to this hatred that I bear?
Once I led a noble life,
then it became a nightmare.

The sands have shifted,
My life is gone;
All that remains here
well, there are none.
