Trivial

by Garrison   Aug 14, 2006

When you miss someone
Either living or past
It's the smallest things
That bring you back

Perfume, a letter, a song
It's at those times
Everything you hold dear
Becomes real once again

The chocolate, your allergies
Your socks, your voice
Your hair, your touch
The way you breath as you sleep

You remeber their smile
Their laughter and tears
The softness of skin
The smile that puts you at ease

For those of us fortunate
That separation be brief
There are blessed reunitings
That brings joy to the heart

Such is my time
When I see you again
The union it will bring
Will set my soul to rest

For Fay
