Embracing The Change

by Garrison   Mar 22, 2011

If only there was
A book full of tales
That could shed a light
On where we all fail

There are things about me
That can wear one's love down
How I want to embrace
The change and the crown

Some will blame parents
Others their rearing
But what I need most
Is to stop what I'm fearing

Insecurity abounds
Of old habits still round
That kills a relationship
With emptiness abound

I get in this rut
Where I think things are bad
And things that I have
Become things that I had

I yearn to say things
To be open and frank
And I carefully tread
Cause there will be no thanks

But before I say a word
Let me take a look inward
So I can see my own heart
Before I look forward
