Russian Roulette of the Heart

by Carlee Ann   Aug 14, 2006

I'm not sure I can take it
But I just figure
If you keep on dazzling me
I'll simply pull the trigger

I'm dangerously close to snapping
I'm a loaded gun, you see
And you haven't the slightest idea
What you have done to me

I don't understand you
I don't know what you feel
You change your mind every day
I just want something real

I don't know what exactly
Is setting you apart
All I know is that you're playing
Russian Roulette with my heart

I could release these bullets
And have no where to hide
The blood of truth on my hands
No safety lock inside

But for now I patiently wait
For the chance to run
My feelings are the ammunition
My heart the loaded gun

*special thanks to simon for helping me with the flow.*

This is a great piece with some very strong emotion. I really like the flow, though there is one bit I think you could change a little just to finalise the wonderful flow...

    **I don't know exactly
    **What sets you apart
All I know is that you're playing
    Russian Roulette with my heart

** The two lines above I think you could rearrange to flow a little better with the poem. For example:

    I don't know what exactly
    Is setting you apart

It's just a suggestion and you may not agree. I really like this piece and the way it is being told.
