Where was he then?

by Dustin Dillard   Aug 16, 2006

The bullet missed his heart by one inch.
Oh, that was him?
Young Timothy gets hit in the leg and bleeds to death.
Where was he then?
They think suzans boy is going to make it.
Oh, that was him?
Sister Harris drowns a newborn baby.
Where was he then?
Old Barbra was hit by a car and didn't break a bone.
Oh, that was him?
My young sister tripped on a curb and broke her neck.
Where was he then?
If god picks everyones time,
than why do newborn babies have to die?
And how is that not a crime?
If anything good happens someone's looking out from up above.
If something bad happens than there is no reason anyone can think of.
Too many things just don't make since.
This is for everyone who I might convince.

    Hey.
Melissa is right your poem is good, and no we don't know why all of those people have to die, but maybe God is useing thier lives to show someone else something, I know there is a reason and I understand what you mean when you say that some people are like. . . if they survive then he's there and if they dont then he wasnt but always remember that a true believer in God will remeber he is always there and will praise Him through the storm...no matter how bad it may get. comment me back if you would, you don't have to but, I hope i helped you make sense of some things. God bless

Hey your poem is good but you just have to remember that God is always there. he can't exactly fix everything but obviously the people in your poem who died were brought to him for a reason and he saves people all the time sometimes it just goes unnoticed. you have to look at it more in depth that just tripping or getting shot you have to think of people who have almost died and didn't and stuff like that, if that makes sense. you just gotta believe. God Bless.
