Imagine

Imagine.
Out in a beach house,
A soft blue lounge chair.
An open book,
With sun rays shining fair.

Shining through a screen door,
Outside is a magical beach.
With the whitest sands,
And bluest waters; everything's in reach.

Imagine.
Around midday,
A wide, clear meadow.
Thick grass blowing softly,
The place where friendships form and grow.

Small creatures hiding,
In shadows from the sun's rays.
Different shapes in the sky,
Reflecting each mellow day.

Imagine.
Colorful blankets placed,
On top of a wide, open cliff.
Teens chatting quietly,
And smaller children run adrift.

With the sun setting slowly,
And stars rising in the sky.
Intimance flowing through the air,
And daytime drifts by.

Imagine.
Underneath the surface,
Of a clear, blue ocean.
The sun's rays reflecting off the water,
And the morning settling in.

All kinds of sea creatures,
Making their way through life.
Without any second thoughts,
Or any worries of strife.

Imagine.
A small furry caterpillar,
Crawling slowly down a leaf.
Leaving behind tiny holes,
Chewed by his teeth.

A huge gust of wind,
Blows him to the ground.
And the force of the fall,
Takes his life without a sound.

Imagine.
A young girl in her bedroom,
With a notepad on her lap.
Sitting near her window,
While upon the book her nails tap.

She is thinking quite deeply,
As she does most all the time.
As she watches the sun set slowly,
She softly whispers, "Goodbye."
