Anorexic Beauty

by lonelynow   Aug 22, 2006

High cheek bones
Thin hair tied back
Nails painted, hidden
She's beautiful; she's beautiful
Slim body, tight waist
Ribs pushing against skin
Collar bones dip
She's beautiful; she's beautiful
Pale face, streaks of blood
Eyes wide, unseeing
Red ribbons draped over a pale wrist
She's beautiful; she's beautiful
Our butterfly princess
Our Anorexic Beauty

Nice flow in the poem. I think that if you think you're beautiful, then you are, if you think you're ugly, than you are...you are what you think you are!

OMG this is by far the best poem Ive read on this site for the year Ive been on it. I mean this is so good. ^^ it makes me angry that ppl really think that being so skinny is beautiful. Its sickning. I think that if you think as yourself as beautiful you are. Inside and out. I used to be anerexic. And it was a struggle. And ppl like you that inform ppl about the harsh truth are brave- LOVED IT I LOVED IT- comment on some of mine id appreciate it- Much Love-Meg
