Life like a Slice of Cheese

by Xilyy   Aug 23, 2006

I had a dream
It was so real
Yet so abnormal
It did feel.
I was a slice of smelly cheese
Layed neatly on a plate
Just sitting there all hopeless
What did happen would be my fate.
Yet just as I was chosen
To be gobbled up so fast
CRASH! I heard from far away
Someone had smashed a glass.
As my murderer jogged away
To see what made such noise
I slid across the shiny surface
And hid under a packet of McCoys.
In my mind I heard a tune
The theme of Great Escape
This would be my one chance
To wear that shiny cape.
Yet back to earth I did come
I realized I must be quick
I slid down an electrical wire
And from two routes I had to pick.
I slithered down one eery path
And came to face my fear
One large mouse towered over me
And a scream is all you could hear
He gobbled me up and left no mess
And that’s when I awoke
I didn't like life as a slice of cheese
To be munched by cruel folk.
