Haunted House

by Purple   Aug 23, 2006

A past calls
From inside the walls
As the house creaks and moans
Prodding you in with the unknown
It gives no promise for free
But that's a attraction few can see
Who wants a promise from some thing so weird
The pain inside the empty house won't be cured

Nothing is allowed inside the threshold
And yet new stories are always told
Screams and shrieks are constantly heard
A ghost inside is all they can infer
But what if some thing's trapped inside those cobwebs
Some thing besides ghosts, bones, and dead heads
A human trapped inside like a fly
Awaiting the moment they know they'll die

Is the unknown as attractive with fear
As you walk up the path and the cobwebs near
If you hard a shriek would you turn and run
Forgetting all thoughts of adventurous fun
Is curiosity really worth losing your life
Or do you plan on staying for all of the fight

The title of this poem caught my eye. The poem had a good plot and I got lured into it since the first line. The words were very deep and strong which is good and the poem rhyming was errorless for the most part and the flow was also flawless. ((5/5))

If you would..could you comment on my poems, one would be fine..i know you arn't the commenting type so I'm just asking kindly. You don't have to, but it would be nice and I would appreciate it, I understand if you don't comment though...well take care.
