Dream

by Truest Lies   Aug 24, 2006

I'm sorry that I failed you
I did not try hard enough
My mind told me
That I wasn't good enough
And I believed it
Simply because
I have never known any different
You were the first to tell me
That I could do anything
Absolutely anything that I wanted
And I wanted so much to do this
But then my mind failed
For you are the only one
Who believes in me
And when you're not there
Neither is my dream
So I forget
I become weak
Then when I wake up again
To the truth that you told me
It is forgotten
I am alone
And the dream slips away.
