Alone

Waiting for a saviour who will never come
all she had left is her tears.
As she cries alone in an empty house
her sobs fall upon deaf ears.

With her family all in their own other worlds
and all her friends out for the night
with no one but herself to turn to
the real world seems far from sight.

As the night drags further on
and the house grows ever colder,
her love of life is almost dead
as it crashes and begins to smolder.

Alone with her thoughts
and a heart as black as dirt,
she begins to tempt her darker sider
thinking of ways to get rid of the hurt.

She stumbles into the bathroom
not caring if she makes a mess,
she opes the cabinet and grabs a bottle
after each pill, she cares even less.

with her consciousness about to leave
she goes and grabs a straight blade.
she cuts into her wrist and falls to the floor
the world around her quickly starts to fade.

She lyes face down on the floor
with her life about to be done
she tries to think of a happy thought.
but she does before she can think of one.
