My Teacher

by Electric Monkey   Aug 24, 2006

She stand at her desk and gives us instruction
Through every verb, noun, and conjunction.
She teaches the class with so much love
That I thank God, the One above.

She is such a blessing in so many ways,
Every week and in all her days.
She takes her time to educate,
And her life to her students does dedicate.

The words she speaks, and the help she gives
Are the life and the example she lives.
She inspires those she teaches and shows
How simple it is, the formulas to know.

I am so grateful that she would take
Time from her life a difference to make
In the lives of students (so many have come).
They live with learning and a little fun.

I'm disappointed I have to go.
It's my senior year. I know
That we may never meet anymore,
But God has something better in store.

And though we move on, I'll never forget
How she helped all of us, our lives to set.
She gave Godly wisdom and never thought
That anything less would be better; it's not.
