My Tranquility

My Tranquility

I long to be in the woods
A place of deep tranquility
Alone with Mother Nature
With the Creator my company

I long to leave city life
Where I feel restless energy
Living life at a frantic pace
Is stripping the essence from me

I long to be transported
On a journey back in time
To live 200 years ago
To a simplistic life filled with reason and rhyme

I long to be in the forest
Drawing my strength from the trees
Refreshing my anguished being
Letting my soul soar free

I long to be alone with Mother Earth
Her soothing voice is calling to me
Hearing the call of the majestic eagle
Listening to the "ancient ones"whisper in the leaves

I long to be in the comfort of the woods
Under the canopy of a picturesque sky
In my heart it is my only home
It's the only place my spirit can fly
