Surrendering

by Flying Phoenix   Aug 27, 2006

Starting from a word
He placed his heart so bare
Just a simple "Hello"
A promise made
In his endless eyes
And I was caught
Trapped in the abyss
Submited to his kiss
All from a single word

But then I did surface
And realise my fate
Before this did happen
And lost my will
To his soul
I struggled hard
To gain control
And thought

Although the desire was so strong
To sink into those arms
Those eyes, his smell
I resisted
And for the first time
Used my brain
I would not fall into tragedy
Yet another time again

So to his single word
I replied and stared hard
"Hello handsome stranger
I've not fallen for your trap,
Yet surely I'll yield
If you only promise this.
Give me half your heart
In exchange for a kiss"

And with that he paused
But did not make a sound
He gave me not half
But a complete whole
And I sank into his arms
Surrendering my soul
