Wrapped Up In Ambition

by Dwain   Mar 8, 2004

The glory of a boy
Wrapped up in ambition
All the while he’s blind
To everything he’s missing

Missing deep conversations
The answers of the world
He’s stuck in his room
All alone and curled

Curling from the experience
Of human interaction
He locks himself away
Fearing an attraction

Attracted to the norm
Something he could never be
He reassures himself again
He is above the normality

The glory of a boy
Wrapped up in ambition
Now is a man
Looking back and wishing
