Drifting Life

by Seronum   Aug 28, 2006

I watched the sun go
down today.
Lost in the horizon
slowly making its way.

The days have been
so long now without
you here with me.
I want to kiss you one
last time to save the
dismay of our melancholy.

This sham of a life its
burns within me causing destruction and chaos
and I hide in the shadows
hoping it returns to its hole.

Can you hear the
voices that consume
me in their hell.
They silently kill me
in their waking spell.

Till death I pray,
My soul to reap.

I pray these words,
I softly speak.

Lay me down in
crimson blood,
and place me deep
within the mud.

Within a coffin,
I lie in peace.

Resting silently
in a eternal sleep.

The reaper it stands
before my grave.

Wielding his scythe
in a gentle wave.

Let me go my
long time
friend.

Tis the time of a
new life as my body sees
the end.

The sun it sets
again after long
days passed.

Slowly drifting
in the horizons grasp.

Dark it creeps and
consumes the light,
this is the end which
unleashes night.
