words without meaning
closing of eyes
ears open to listen

voice continues
a melody so sweet
anyone that heard
would feel relief

empty promises
laced into harmony
deceiving anyone
into believing

depression's song
inviting with unity
melancholy children
singing together

believing together they
can save each other
even though they doubt
they will ever get better...
