Let me not be scared
That's all I'm asking
Maybe what I'm scared of
Is that he'll end up laughing

I know he's a few years older
And maybe he won't care
But I have to get it off my chest
And as a friend he's always been there

Maybe I think that it'll be okay
And that he'll love me too
Because as a friendship
We've always been faithful and true

We've had many laughs
And Some times that we shared
But all that I'm asking
Is let me not be scared
