Mechanical Man

by enfant du tordu chagrin   Aug 29, 2006

This torn heart inside beats dull and slow
Grudgingly maintaining scarlet blood's flow
Breathing life throughout the limbs
In a body left without its whims

Mechanically moving through the day
While still the mind continues to stray
Hiding all that's felt within a core
Drowning it out, closing the door

Trapped in limbo, lost in doubt
Consciousness straining to fade out
Bleeding will through soul's plight
Fading quietly to eternal night
