The color of my skin

by Thomas   Aug 29, 2006

The color of my skin does not mean that I am racist
Black white brown Puerto Rican or Asian I just want to be your friend

The color of my skin will be there forever
I don’t want it change but maybe the way I act

The color of my skin only tells you were we came from
I may have not lived through it but my ancestors had to pay

The color of my skin should say something to all
I'm different in a good way, not just the way I act

The color of my skin is a tall black man; my skin stretches as I sour across the sky along with eagles
You may see me different but inside you can’t tear me down cause I'm a strong black man and that’s the color of my skin
