You'll Go So Far...

by Isabella Bedard   Aug 30, 2006

Her heart,
(enigmatic by chance)
thrown overboard
to its very death,
through waves of disbelief
and waters made of blood;
murky souls upon the bottom
of the most unearthly flood.

Did you happen to see
the shape of a floating heart?
Shreads of an empty face
through time, torn apart?
Did you happen to witness
this terrible crime?
The love of her life
simply ending with time?

Did you happen to watch
the boat crumble and fall?
She tried to keep it together
though she never saw
that her life would fall apart
as her soul simply break...
she never did realize
all that was at stake.

Leave behind your old face,
your old love, your old you;
bring fourth a new life
and hide away the truth.
I guess they'll never know
just exactly who you are;
sail away from your home...
you're going to go far...

You'll go far, sweet girl,
so very far.
