The Walk of escape

by Lynn Anderson   Aug 30, 2006

Broken down was my car.
Scared and shaken down the endless road.
Only light from the stars.
It was just me all alone.

Walking away from disaster.
To you I had to say goodbye.
This moment in time wouldn't move faster.
Even I remember your lies.

Watching headlights from the cars.
Jumping into tall grass.
Knowing your not to far behind me.
Trying to escape your wrath.

I reach home without no trouble.
The phone will ring, and ring.
I can't keep out of this rubble.
The beginning of the many things.
