Finale

by Rhiannon   Aug 30, 2006

To change myself for you
Is to
Kill hope at its brightest point,
Riding a wind that ceases to exist.

Your pleading is sickening.
I cling to every word
One day it will make you hate yourself.

I'll laugh a cold, maddening laugh
Like a rabbit screaming into the mist on a rainy day
I hope it kills you
The same death you made me suffer through.

That day
You refuse to remember.
Was my souls funeral you didn't attend.
It was my final death.
My final chance. The decision was made.

I prayed to God for help, for love.
(For your love)
And the prayers were returned to me,
"Figure it out on your own."
And I knew I had to leaveyouthere.
