Bloody Angel

by Jenn   Sep 4, 2006

The angel closed her eyes
And whispered beneath her breath
"Tonight's the night, but who will lose?"

The moon lit her pale face
Silver gleaming at her throat
She looked so fragile
I wanted to break her

Instead I told her to look at me
Slowly her lashes fluttered
Then she glared at me with those
Beaming blue eyes

They burned into me
Made me want to succumb to guilt
But I knew better

I noticed she held one hand
Behind her back
I tugged on the other
And she tried to cry
But nothing came out

So I picked her up
She was light as a cloud
Then I layed her down on the bed

"Angels don't kill" I told her
As she held the shaking knife
Between us

"You aren't God"
She said through clenched teeth
I leaned down and bit her lip
So it bled

And I chuckled and
Whispered in her ear
"You still believe in God"
My light fingers trailed over her arm
Then down her cold leg

"The devil knows" she promised
As the blade came to my eyes
