A Drink Of Life

by Jenn   Sep 4, 2006

You drink up the nothing
Until your tongue is numb
Your sight is blurry
The world is surreal

Everyone is floating
You're sinking below
You can't hold your breath
But you can't take one either

A contaminated past
Sits on your shoulders
Pushes you down
To the bottom of the glass

Trapped in a silent
Sea of tears
You forget why anyone
Ever cried over death
