A Parents Worst Fear.

by LossxOfxControl   Sep 4, 2006

The coffin is lowered,
Deep into the ground,
As a mother shakes with silent sobs,
Looking at the coffin where her, baby girl can be found.

The father stands to the side,
Watching his little girl,
Finally slipping away into peace,
From this cruel harsh world.

Although he didn't want her gone,
He knew she was better off,
He'd miss her so much,
He'd miss her voice so delicate and soft.

Her mother was in denial,
Her baby girl would come back,
No one could convince her otherwise,
Even though she was here now, wearing all black.

There's not one person in sight,
That owns a real smile,
One that reaches right to their eyes,
This tragedy will be here for a long while.

The shining sun,
Is dulled by the falling tears,
Of parents who've faced,
Their most darkest fear.
