A Heart Brutally Slain

by Jamin Huchingson   Sep 5, 2006

I tried to fulfill
Your every wish with all my will
I loved you even in the anticipation
Of my heart being killed
I pursued you with all I could
Until my pulse stood still

Because now all I feel
Is the bitter cold grab a hold
To every inch of my soul
So what I'm told
Is that time will cure my pain
Of what still remains; a heart brutally slain

Now my minds totally deranged
You were the one that left, how strange
So egocentric to give up what you had
For what you got in exchange
So vein to think I wouldn't react
You deserved every psychological attack
For every time you stabbed me in the back

Like a delirious man from a tremendous loss of blood
I'm broken from my heart's lack of love
Con into believing what was going on
Was genuinely fate, and told me how
When we both talked you could always relate

But like the cold wind that shivers the soul
So to do I feel the pain as it grabs a hold
To what remains of a heart brutally slain
