PAST HURTS

by Yvette O Hines   Sep 8, 2006

We meet over the internet and became friends.
In January I had a lot of things to deal with that caused lots of sorrow.

You were there to comfort me.
You held me when my mother and grandfather passed.
We became more then just friends.

You were my best friend and lover.
Then we got engaged.

You moved to my town and found a job.
You started to hang out then I started noticing a change in you.
You started to hag out all night and you started not answering your cell.

Girls started calling your cell and you would say that you did not know who they were.
They had the wrong number but the phone bill does not lie.
Then I started noticing you becoming distant.
What was up with that?
Then you started accusing me of things.

Then people in town started talking about what you were doing and who you were hanging out with.
Then the answer to the question became clearer.

Then when the chips did not fall in the right direction you ask me to reopen my heart to you.
Hum past hurts do not disappear that easily.
