You took this poor girl's life

by Sorefromreality   Sep 11, 2006

A young girl's heart aching from the cruel world
her teardrops fall like acid rain
as she sobs in her flat stained sheets upon her bed
replaying all the words this hateful world has said

a satin dress of red she wears
and two braided pigtails tied with ribbon grace her head
her smile used to light up the room
her fair skinned complexion and freckles
she had beautiful eyes, and they always remained dry
before her face paled and she started to cry

that dress is now tattered, laying in shreds
her hair is mangled, hanging loosely around her face
those beautiful eyes are hidden by bags displaying her loss of delicate sleep
now she struggles just make it through the day
and continually lies when asked if she is okay

you and the rest of this world have crushed her spirit
your words broke her heart and slashed through her dreams
thanks to you she falls asleep with tear-stained cheeks
she tried so hard to please you
now she can only slice through her veins in closet
where no one can see

thanks to you she is bleeding alone
she surrendered you her only life
she payed the ultimate price
i hope you are happy, now she will die in vain
she has suffered thanks to you
i hope you will recognize her dying pain
