I thought i knew you

by Poison Ivy   Sep 12, 2006

All the times you sat there,
Nodding your head as I spoke,
Acting like you were interested,
Turned out all to be a joke,

I could have sworn I knew you,
I was so certain of whom you were,
But now that I analyze things,
I don't think I ever knew you at all,

Its as if you're a total stranger,
The thought kind of throws me off,
One-second I'm certain of who you are,
Next thing I know I'm calling your bluff,

There goes my trust,
Down the drain,
Into the dark whole,
Where dreamers go,

Smothered in the mud,
Unrecognizable,
Only to be forgotten,
Just another sad story told.

This poem was amazing...I really liked the above stanza but they were all great. You should change "whole" to "hole" though. Other than that it was perfect...I really loved it, you have a lot of talent. Thank you so much for the comment. (^_^)
