Jealousy.

by Katie.   Sep 12, 2006

The blood pumps through your veins,
Raging past the once locked chains.
You're eyes are bright with tears and hurt,
You clench your hands against your skirt.

Your teeth begin to grind with greed,
The anger begins growing like a seed.
It blossoms a shadow over your heart,
You refuse to admit it; you're falling apart.

They have everything you'll ever want,
But they act as if it's all nonchalant.
You think they're unworthy of your dream,
You stay silent, while inside you scream.

They get everything you want with such ease,
Nobody ever listens to your pleas.
You try your best, but you never prevail.
You try to blend in, but you always fail.

So you glower in silence, looking on with hate,
Cursing your very unlucky fate.
You try your best to act zealous,
But give it up, darling, you're just jealous.

Another great write...you use so many good words for rhyming...i have to admit even I get bad about using those same old words...like if you use heart nine times out of ten you'll see the word PART as it's rhyming opposite. LOL But you did a good job of jumbling it up! Loved it! Jpoet*
