The Want War.

by Katie.   Nov 5, 2006

Have you ever noticed in this world,
Nobody is happy with what they've got?
Everyone wants what they don't have,
Or have you simply forgot?

A blonde will want brown hair,
A chubby girl will want to be slim.
A tall kid will want to be shorter,
A smart one will want to be dim.

Yet the opposite goes for all the rest,
Nobody is ever content with what they're given.
No, everyone always wants to change themselves.
It seems our world will always be driven.

The curly haired kid wants theirs straight,
While the pinpoint straight wants theirs curled.
What's going on in their minds?
Is this what's happening to our world?

Everyone always wants something different,
Instead of being happy with who they are.
Am I the only one who's here,
Who finds this slightly bizarre?

The blind girl wants to see,
While the ones who see wish to be blind,
To block out the evil in our world,
And to lock themselves in their minds.

Loving yourself is important,
But it seems like it can't be done.
'Cause self-consciousness is taking over,
And it seems like this war has been won.
