I try so hard

Maybe he doesn't notice,
Maybe he doesn't care...
That's just the way life goes;
It can't always be fair.
Besides it's usually my fault
I usually mess up
I try to me so good...
But I just don't give a fuc*.
'Cuz one day I know
That I'll break free
And then I'll be accepted, by just being me!
Right now though, that me
Isn't good enough for you
I wish you could just see what you're doing, I just wish you knew.
Your'e just too caught up
In your own mind
That now your standards, are just too high.
I'm trying to be me
And not like you at all
But you always pick me up
Whenever I shall fall
The only problem is...
You're the one who throws me down,
Now I can't even stand
The sight of you around!
I never thought my dad
Would be my worst enemy
But now he is, and he doesn't even see!!!
