Colours of Distrust

by Christie   Sep 14, 2006

Black birds singing in the middlle of the night,
Possums frolicking in morning light.
Black and white in harmony,
Young girl dying, let her be,

Cancer sleeping and benign,
Girl in sadness forever aligned,
A green flame in a wind so black,
Grey swallowing all you lack.

Consumed by yellow of rising hate,
Screaming red words of angry cognates,
Seemingly falling to risen despair,
You saved her though still unaware.

Cold hard truth like feather to feel,
Soaring tension jaggedly concealed.
Stars glare faintly, heads turned in disgust,
Stone walls built with sustained distrust.

Loads of it. =P I loved this poem mainly because it rhymed, it flowed excellently, and had a lot of emotion in it. A great talent. =) 5/5 xoxo
