Whispers

by Joe Eijyuu   Sep 15, 2006

The rose garden near my town
Every June I visit when the roses bloom
Vivid green leaves against brown stems
All so colourful and aromatic as always
But I am sure this year is different
'Cause they whispered in the breeze of spring
"If she is fond of roses" said the White
"She likes you a lot" said the Yellow
"Even more than you think" said the Red
I've watched carefully and before you know
This lady of the rose garden is my princess.

The Great Dipper in its heaven
In clear night I observe it with my zoom
So soothing to look upon the seven stars
Wondrous and mysterious in many ways
But something more than that tonight
Stars are whispering with occasional winking
"If she is a stargazer" said the top-left
"Gaze at her eyes" said with the glow
"Give her a kiss" said one at the far-end
I did everything accordingly and hey presto
The lady of stargazer is now my precious.
