Winds of Life

by Bill Turner   Sep 15, 2006

Scent of your love blowing through my mind
Stirring memories of stolen moments past
Winds of life stirring all that I find
Fanning flames of love that will last

Winds of change brought you into my life
Sweeping out the darkness, bringing the light
Now we blow down the street on the edge of a knife
Knowing that with our love everything will be all right

The hammer winds of winter blow cold
Chilling the lost and lonely to the bone
I will lay with you as we grow old
Warming you as we together moan

Someday the wind of life will blow no more
Leaving one of us to find our way at night
I do not know what life has in store
If I go first you shall always see my shining light

Do not fear the winds of change
They brought us together in life
Do not fear the winds of change
I will always love you as my wife

To live, and to die together.. Love is an amazing thing.. How I envy you sometimes.. This is beautiful, and true.. as long as the wind of change is expected, we can find a way to enjoy every waking moment.. 5/5 xx

That was definatly going to be our favorite part until we both read the ending!! All in all this was a beautifully written poem! I loved your descriptions and the images you portray to your readers! Truly a pleasure to read another one of Bill's masterpieces!

Bill what an incredible love story and yet so sad that being alone is inevetible yet it makes me crave that one that will miss me when I am gone, I stand in awe of this and hope the woman that it was written for appreciates the outpouring of emotion.
