Stardust

by Victoria   Sep 16, 2006

Amid a stillness, profound as death
Enshrouded in the sky, and sun that burns the flesh
You are vanishing as you go.
What is it that I could find amid this wondering
What for myself, all lone.

Despising myself from within the depths of frigid eyes
Still clutching at the wisps of hatred
Pain, that will not, be stifled
Embracing that eternally living sorrow

Cannot help, but remember that vanished person
Whom you once were
And unwavering, unchangeable feelings toward you
So deeply, so deeply, even now

Illuminated by the stardust, the sound of your name
Hummed beneath my breath
Is snatched away, by the wind

I kept singing that song for you
The one you taught me
I kept on counting the tears
And again, yet again, the nights merely repeated themselves
So deeply, so very deeply, even now.
