Dear Ana,

by katie!   Sep 16, 2006

Dear ana, yes I know your there,
Though your new best friend thinks I don't care
I see your devious little mind,
Within the heart that was once mine

And don't pretend that you don't know
How far this girl is willing to go
I know how far you'll push her to
But you won't bring her back will you

I know you ana, you're the worst
But one day you'll see, I was there first
Because your pollution cannot win
Make her believe she isn't thin

Don't lie to me, say, "Bones are beauty"
When really they look kind of creepy
And manipulate the mirror's view
Into an fat image of you

When really all there is to see
Is bones and skin and no tummy
There is no stomach its not there
So don't pretend you really care

Because, I'll beat you, you just see
You didn't count on meeting me
For I will never join you world
Because I love mars bars and twirls

I love chocolate I love food
It puts me in a better mood
And I know your biggest weakness
Locked behind my best friends meekness

So wait, bide your time and brainwash away
But I'll be there every day
To work away at you black soul
And wash away your tainted whole

Oh an mia, sweetheart please don't bother
I don't want to kill another
You may be winning, but in the end
You're just a mind game, I'm the real friend

    Oh dear Katie,
I feel your deep emotional sadness through-out this entire piece .

I get a sense that you are so desperately trying to help a friend while another is turning her in a different direction .
And you are sad and frustrated .

I hope I am reading into your words correctly , otherwise I would feel like such a fool.....lol

Take care Katie, glad to see you back writing . I've missed you .

Wow. This was a really great poem. It was a different look at an eating disorder and i thought it was realy creative. If you have a friend that is really going through this, I hope you are able to help her beat it. my favorite line was:

Because, I'll beat you, you just see
You didn't count on meeting me
For I will never join you world
Because I love mars bars and twirls"

It added a sense of comedy to it. I really enjoyed this. Awesome write.
