As I peer over the edge,
I feel the wind blow my hair.
Leaning back, I take another step,
Not thinking of the consequences,
Not thinking of the future,
Not thinking of anything at all.
Yet everything rushes through my head at once.
Who will be the one to catch me?
Will anyone catch me?
Another step is taken, as I look up,
It looks like rain.
I've always loved the rain.
My arms stretch out,
The wind kicks up, and dances on my skin.
I close my eyes and take another step.
Thinking through the last few days,
This feels right.
I must do it now before I lose my nerve,
I take another step and jump.
Falling feels so nice,
But who will catch me?
Will anyone catch me?
