Stuck at start

by Megan   Sep 18, 2006

A broken mirror
of noble truth
stuck in the pieces
a shattered youth
they took away
our only way
to keep us sane
trapped alone
we scream in pain

to breath, to think
to burn, to feel
to live a life
thats truly real
sounds so close
yet is, so far
lost, alone
still stuck at start

I walk the roads
and open paths
i close these doors
and lock the past
for it burns too much
to bring it back

I'm shaking, it hurts
control is lost
need to escape
at any cost
bloodstained fingertips
from the scars above
up on my wrists
take a chance
I'll take a risk
to gain it all
or lose all this

to breath, to think
to burn, to feel
to live a life
thats truly real
sounds so close
yet is, so far
lost, alone
still stuck at start

And now its too late
to take all this back
I have made my choice
its all turned black
