A Summer Long Ago

by Pygmalion   Sep 18, 2006

Somewhere near the black sea
Where towns come and go
There is one lonely soul
Whose eyes will never see

Blinded by faces
Too cold to be true
Freezin' at the sunset
Staring straight at you

One day near the black sea
Old summer came along
The blind man turned to heaven
Opened his heart to sing

I'm searching for the faces
My young mind once knew
In our land of desert snow
Where the summers come and go

One day in the future
An old man will remember
The laughter of the flowers
And the eyebrows of the sun

I'm searching, searching for my girl
In these fields of everlasting snow
I can still see you twirl
In a summer long ago
