Delilah

by Pygmalion   Jan 11, 2007

Delilah, where have you been
Out in the street I cry
Is there anyone who has seen
The girl with sky blue eyes

My lady, the church bells rang so loud
Louder than New York ever will be
Please come back that was my shroud
Or at least it was supposed to be

My sweetheart, you will never know
To be your man has paid its price
Oh, Delilah I miss it so
Counting with you the stars at night

Oh, Delilah, you sleep now
Like the sky your eyes sleep at night
Will there ever be a morning anyhow
Or will I never see your light

Delilah, in my darkest dreams
These skies and stars still haunt through
And every falling star it seems
Is nothing else but the soul of you

So, Delilah, forgive me please
With me these stars you will share
I can't live on like this in peace
Soon I'll join you over there
