Should have been a man

by Raydeen   Sep 19, 2006

See your face slipped out of view,
your voice can no longer be heard.
and its not hurting me baby,
it's killing me.
but that didn't stop you from walking out the door.
you weren't there to sheild me from scary things,
you weren't there to hold me while my sobs became screams,
you walked away when things became hard,
because maybe helping me was to big of a thing.
maybe you didn't know that I wouldn't just hurt without you,
I'd die.
and I wouldn't be able to live with you gone,
I'd struggle.
maybe you didn't know how much you truly mattered,
maybe you gave up when you got scared.
maybe you felt something for me that you felt for no one else.
but hey, maybe you never gave a sh!t,
maybe I was a big joke.
maybe you should have been a man,
and told me I was going to be left on my own.
