My Tiger Mother

by Tru   Sep 19, 2006

All you ever wanted for us was the very best,
Always telling us we were better than the rest.
I know it's dark, and seems night has set,
Theres one thing you should know, keep, and never forget.
That thing should make you smile when you feel blue,
That one thing is, "Mom, I love you."
I want you to know that you didn't fail me,
What you taught me is there, even if you can't see.
You were better than all the other mothers,
Doing what was best for me and my brothers.
For you mom, this whole world I'd fight,
Just so you could have one more restful night.
