Ghost Whipser (pt. I)

by Banana   Sep 20, 2006

It lies within the air
A voice unheard there
A calling non-existent
A memory evanescent
Wishing to just breathe
Knowing it will fail me...

In the dark we will pass
A tombstone in the grass
An unheard a whisper lingers
A sign from heavenly singers
To know, to touch, to see
You’re reaching out to me...

There is a disturbance I sense
I vaguely hear it and then hence
I turn as the darkness swallows me
A shadow almost too brief to see
Thus we hit the highest culmination of all
And then... you and I together shall fall...

I really love the word evanescent... And not just because of the band.
