I wish to take it back,
the night that we had sex.
everything was beautiful before that
now its all a wreck.

we waited until we knew
that something special was there
and now we sit apart
looking for reasons to care.

things were on their way
to a picture perfect life
and now its all faded
with the sinful blink of an eye.

we were no virgins
when we met that drunken night
but everything clicked so perfectly
we wanted to wait till all was right.

months of love and affection
and laughing until it hurt
are fading into nothingness
and treating each like dirt.

i dont understand,
it seemed we did everything well
